About Nanded

           Nanded was Known as “Nandigram” in ancient times and finds mention in several ancient scriptures like Ramayana. It has historical, religious and cultural significance.           

           The holy city Nanded is situated on the bank of river Godavari, the place sanctified by he Samadhi of Shri Guru Gobindsinghji, Tenth Guru of Sikhs. The city recently celebrated tricentenary of Guru-ta-Gaddi this year. Nanded is a district headquarter about 270 km from Aurangabad and Hyderabad and directly accessible by road and railways from Delhi, Banglore, Mumbai and Nagpur. It is also concerned by air with Mumbai, Delhi and Nagpur.Today’s modern Nanded is a center of Agricultural and Educational development.It is a border district having boundaries with Andra Pradesh and Karnataka.
          A multicultural place with one of the highest seats of sikh religion i.e. Sachkhand Gurudwara. Pilgrims from all over the world visit this shrine. City has wel developed urban infrastructure, staying facilities and transportation.
